Ground Branch... Preview

Well, almost 10 years later but finally Ground Branch is playable and currently in early access preview. Ground Branch is a old school tactical shooter, like the original Ghost Recon game of yester-year.

I played it for the first time, and it's good... I personally think it's about 5 years too late but that's just me. The only complaint I have is the movement seems too slow and unnatural, and I want a challenging game, but these enemies see you far to far away. Other then those 2 items, I'm liking it, brings back old memories of great games with friends.

Haven't found any online games or friends ready to play yet, so these screens are all from the "offline" mode, meaning single player. Probably why I'm getting killed so much and so fast, with friends it should be balanced much more.

Here's hoping for good things soon with this game.

Vigor...

Not a big fan of this new gaming trend where everything seems to be focus on stupid clown skin packs and the new Battle Royal mode... but have been introduced and impressed with this game...so far. It's only in early testing, but it's beautiful, the controls and movements are pretty good, and the gameplay is intense.

You start at your safe home base where you upgrade your stuff, craft weapons, ammo and other items. To do this you need supplies. To do that you go to a map and select the region you want. (only two in the early release right now.) When you pick a region it loads with 7 other players. All you need to do is scavenge for parts and items, then get to an exit. Simple enough. You can do this without ever running into someone else by luck or choice. But if you do see someone, or they see you, it's kill or be killed. If you die, you lose everything you came in with and respawn back at home base. REPEAT.

It's a simple game, but can be challenging... goal? Survive, build your base, get more supplies, repeat. But instead of 100 players you only deal with 7 others.

Same old problem...

Steel Beasts Pro PE; My favorite game/sim but after all these years the same problem?

I'm Back...

Not that I've been really gone or anything, but since retirement, other activities have taken a front seat, while gaming has taken a back seat. But lately I've been getting back into gaming, not as much as before but back into the good ones.

Mostly back into the DCS World series of flight sims/games, Steel Beasts Pro PE has never died for me, and a few other games of interest lately.

So, reactivating this blog to share my screens and videos. Won't be a active blog, but at least a place to share my stuff.

See you on the virtual battlefield.

Gaming comes to a end... almost.

Just FYI... since my retirement and new activities, my gaming has become almost non-existent. So probably won't be seeing too many game post from me anymore. Still play occasionally, mostly SB Pro PE and Combat Mission series, single player... some racers and shooters on Xbox One... but pretty much done, moving on... had a great 30+ years of gaming, all started with a TRS 80, then a Commodore 64/128, then onto PC's, then the Sega consoles, and then Xbox's.

Best game ever played... newest is The Witcher 3, before that was Red Dead Redemption, and then before that for a long time, Longbow 2 from Janes Simulations.

Worth a mention, the Battlefront Combat Mission series, and the tank sim, Steel Beasts Pro PE.
